Chelsea Says:
January 22nd, 2010 9:47 AMI thought Shania was hilarious. (And Jillian, - you're the shallow bit%* to blame the wife for husband's infidelity). Don't think she meant things to go that way during the audition, but totally agree why she reacted the way she did. This is a hot dude - a breath of fresh air for once, someone who is not full of himself when he/she has nothing to show for it.
And I thought the reason why they said they were surprised at his voice was because of the soulfilled tune coming out of a brainiac (Northwestern Universty, Econimics major?!). There are a lot of Asian who can really sing well. They just don't come out on American Idol. They are already busy making money singing in Asia!

John Park sings with Soul
Ayun naman pala, he could sing better. I actually didn't like his audition piece, made it looked like Shania Twain flirty at over 30. LOL. Watch this and see that his performance here is better than of his first actual performance.
Video Credit: hollywoodgossip.com He is a bass member of the Purple Haze, a Northwestern a cappella group. Pretty good actually--- browse through some of Purple Haze's performance, you could see him be the lead voice.
One commenter said on hollywoodgossip:
AI News: And John Park was Saved
Sorry for the late telecast, but yes, for the JP Fans out there, he is safe. Goodbye to Janell Wheeler, Ashley Rodriguez, Joe Muñoz and Tyler Grady--- (Tyler, too bad that Scooby-Doo-Shaggy costume didn't work again). Here's JP's last performance--- it was bad actually. LOL

Asian on American Idol
John Park, a Korean American, hmm interesting. Will America be hit by the Korean craze too?
I guess we have to wait and see, his first performance was last night and it was not quite good. I wish to hear more of him, but I think after flunking the first performance you need a little bit more effort for the second one, and the right reason for joining--- here to know what I am talking about:
Simon: "You have got to have an incredible voice to take on that song, and haven't got that. And zero emotion. It was a pointless performance."
Kara: "I agree with Simon -- there was no connection."
Randy: You've definitely got a voice there."
Ellen: "I think that if it was a different song, we'd see who you really are. I actually thought it was a great performance."
Awkward moment when they flashed to his parents after Park said something about his family worrying about money.

Tiger Rarara
The Tiger
Magnetic, passionate and grand! When the Tiger does anything, it’s noticed! Indecisiveness and stubbornness can mar the sparkle of the Tiger personality. On the one hand generous, on the other hand a little mean, it’s sometimes hard to know where one stands with the Tiger. Flexible, honest and truly entertaining, one has a friend for life with a Tiger.
Forecast for 2010 Being the Tiger’s own year, 2010 holds great promise for those born under this sign, with exciting developments happening for them both personally and professionally. Some Tigers may be feeling disappointed and disheartened after 2009 and it will be important to leave the past behind and concentrate on the future, which is looking so bright! Financially, everything improves this year for those born under this sign and money-making thoughts and ideas should be fully explored and investigated. With the fast pace of this year for all signs, the Tiger needs to take extra care in planning and thinking all projects through – no rushing headlong into schemes during 2010! Tigers looking for romance will possibly see a friendship suddenly develop into something more personal with exciting consequences. August, December and January will see a very active and entertaining social calendar, but all of 2010 will see fun activities for the Tiger. The Spring months, March to May, will bring encouraging and interesting job opportunities, but the Tiger will still have to make sure he puts himself forward and gets noticed at work.
Interesting Tiger Facts:
Zodiac Stone: Sapphire
Special Flower: Violet
Best Hours: 3-5 am

New Product On McDonald's Menu
Served locally in Philippines: Beef Burger with rice;
PhP50.00 for meal and PhP42.00 for ala carte
Just a heads up on what McDonald's has been cooking for the summer. There's a new product on their menu, the Beef burger with rice!
I tell you, this is different from Jollibee's Beef burger steak, that is sauced up with their gravy and placed some sliced button mushrooms. It taste like my mom and your mom's Beef steak sauce, you know that soy sauce and calamansi plus startch and onion mix, it tasted like that. I don't have the actual photo of the product because it doesn't look presentable--- I ordered from 8-mcdo--- so you see, he must have taken the bumpy road to our house.

Dirty Finger
We were raised on the same place and atmosphere,
and braved by the same Tayuman Street.
But I didn't know about that dirty finger before, until---
I was old enough to understand that you display those,
when you're out of your mind.
This kid has been mislead by the media his dumb mind absorbed.
Glory to his parents, who made him flunk the very idea of being educated---
acting one and being one.
Does he even know what that finger means?

Lion Dancers
Are the lion dancers just in for the money?
I don't know really, but it seems like it though. Someone told me that it wasn't like the one before. Is the culture of lion dancing fading already? Is this again a form of rubbing our own culture of its richness, and turning it into something that people would hate rather than being entertained.

Year of White Tiger | Chinese New Year 2010
The celebration of the White Tiger Chinese New Year was a blast, though it was not the same with the past celebrations (maybe because of the different situation the country is in). Still fun in the sense that people (foreigners), I think really looked forward to witnessing the different fusion of culture in Binondo--- plus Chinese New Year falls on a Valentine's day, so you can see couples doing the HHWW while enjoying the scene in Chinatown. I never thought that couples would enjoy such noisy setting to celebrate Valentine's--- and dine at a Chinese restaurant too, aside from that, sharing it with Chinoy families (that are known for being noisy)--- that made the restaurants even more jam-packed .
Lion Dance along Salazar Street
Binondo has this different feel to it, exuding a big mystery, that everybody wants to unlock. (Look into the picture) Binondo is a mix of old and new, spouting condos and news establishments blends well with it's old ways and jiving the forever thriving Chinoy culture.
See the servers at Ying-Ying all running around.
(Follow reads at http://charliechapsuey.blogspot.com)
One of the many fusion of culture you can see in Binondo.
It looked like amazing race, because they (foreigners, and locals alike) held big bags and big cameras, and takes photos of every happening, and running to where sound of drums and fireworks are.Binondo has this different feel to it, exuding a big mystery, that everybody wants to unlock. Back to Mandarin 101
February 7 was the first day of my Mandarin class offered by GFAP. I hope that after 3 months I will be a fluid speaker! Mandarin is the language of money.
The day starts at 9am, and with the welcome speech of the elders.
And then after we were in two groups, the advance class goes to Siansi Yan's and basic, us, goes with Siansi Wu Xing-yue. She is a very funny siansi, makes it light to learn Mandarin and inject jokes. I think I am in for some fun learning. LOL. Hello Siansi Emy of Phil. Simsin.

Back to Friendster! Maybe not.
Just recently (I think around December) Friendster revamped, more like doing it, Facebook way. But I guess not so much people will convert back, they should try a campaign to encourage switch, or at least continuous use. I won't probably use it again, because half of my friends in FS already abandoned their accounts, no sense to use it--- how to socialize when there's no one there.
One thing that I've notice--- their blog is powered by Wordpress! That's a good one. Good thought. Wordpress is the best tool for blogging (next to my baby blogger ofcourse, for being user friendly, but SEO, it WP).I think they have apps before, but not like these. Oh they have farm thing also. LOL
Nice one Friendster, keep it up, malay mo maging friends tayo ulit--- kapag hindi ka na

Pinoy Movie Tragedy
Are you fond of watching Pinoy movies? Me, not, but I keep a little faith in Filipino talents--- I guess it always fails me--- that's why I always try to watch some that I thought would satisfy my taste, but then it couldn't.
Iwas excited to watch Mano Po 6, but then it failed to surpass or at least to level with the title it carry.
Then just recently--- okay just this morning, I got to see I Love You, Goodbye. It was a mess. So many unnecessary scenes--- Gaby and his lolo flesh, and other bed scenes, that. really. wasn't. even. so sayang. to be removed. Sana hindi nila kina-cut short yung movie just to squeeze those bed scene. And then end up with this:
The script is so stupid. Hindi tumitingin sa dadaanan. Okay, let's say that vehicles are rare in the province and for running at a speed like that, still.
That's what you get--- you die ugly--- if you're not responsible enough to stop, look and listen.
Here's another movie, In My Life, with the same tragic ending, I guess it's a fad that Pinoy movies are following to make the movie really, reallynice, and realistic too.

See there, stupidity. Crossing while talking on the phone.
Didn't he knew that, there's such a thing a phonethics?
I don't know, magagaling naman ang Pinoy, but why this.
