Corporate Employed vs Self- Employed

I think after 2 years of doing nothing, well not really nothing nothing--- but I just felt that all the time --- was wasted, but then again, I've come to realize that--- of course everything happens for a reason and the reason is--- I was employed for a year, experienced and learned good amount of things from good mentors--- so I knew that structure and strategy is one to roll in a company--- I was running a business with friends, totally learned many many things, met new people, many new people--- now I am employed again--- now I am more sensitive to both side of work--- being the boss and being the employee. I can look in both sides--- like we need sales, we have to push--- but employees need something to drive them--- so devise a plan, an attractive one for them. I don't count everything I do ---now as an employed person--- because I understand and am willing to help out the company to grow--- I enjoy the job plus I treat it as my own business, I might ask for a share in the company in the future. Grow the company grow your salary, right?

Otterbox for BlackBerry 9900

Update: Hold is more solid (just noticed that while using it). Woot Woot! I got my BlackBerry his new case, OtterBox Commuter Series! (expensive but I think worth every penny~ even if it is from 中國--- nothing against it. ) It's snug, snugl-ier than that of my first case protection for it--- Capdase Xpose. Capdase does it's purpose but I think a bit messing the phone too, because it's a bit loose, so the edge moving with the chrome got it scratched, but tiny marks that we can just over look. I decided to buy the OB just because--- of the video--- and it looks nice-rrrr. And holds nicer too.
The Commuter Series like with my first OtterBox has an impact absorbing silicone, and hi- impact polycarbonate. It also has port and button covers--- with free slef adhesive screen protector. ~ No FREE sticker now, sad--- maybe if I ordered direct again?! I want the sticker!
Nicely done, showing little bit of the chrome on the sides.
Perfectly covered bottom, with hole for mouth piece.
Buttons covered and rightly protruded for easy pushing
(this was my problem on the Capdase Xpose)
Covered with polycarbonate with holes for camera and flash---
Plus, speaker cut.

OtterBox for BlackBerry 9900

I think I want an OtterBox again, I am using Capdase Xpose Ultra Slim and Soft-to-Touch already, but but but I still am drooling over OtterBox Commuter Series just like the one I got for BlackBerry Pearl 9105--- My OC-ness will break my bank, I see small scratches on the chrome because Capdase Xpose moves or wiggles a bit maybe a bit loose on the lower part.

Spoil Your Sole In Rio Carnival with Ipanema

What is your ultimate travel fantasy? Dance all night with samba music, parade with real samba schools, or join thousands of travel enthusiasts in celebrating the world’s biggest carnival in Brazil? You and your friend can have the chance to experience all these with just a pair of Ipanema as your ticket to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil!
Dance in graciously styled footwear. If you’re looking for an elegant pair of slippers that’s both feminine and comfortable Ipanema’s Ritmos Collection—inspired from the clothes of the people who go to Maracatu, a popular party in Pernambuco, Brazil—has a wide range of flip-flop styles that can easily be paired for a simple stroll in the mall to a summer shindig with friends.

There’s no doubt that Brazil is more than its beautiful coastlines, lush tropical rainforests, and the giant statue of “Cristo Redentor" or Christ the Redeemer. The land that has won the hearts of many travel buffs as a popular choice for holiday getaways is actually the hometown of the world-famous Rio Carnival.
Flower is power. Ipanema’s Envolvente Fem collection truly brings out the modern psychedelic feel with its colorful array of artwork design mixed with a touch of a metalized logo on its strap.

Annually held 40 days before Easter, Rio Carnival is a four-day celebration of dance, music, and culture where samba schools compete with each other and street festivals prompt both locals and tourists to dance the samba—a popular Brazilian dance with African influences.

The carnival officially opens with the crowning of the Fat King or King Momo. And when he starts to do the samba, everybody at the event dances with him to signal the beginning of the celebration. With all its spectacles and excess, Rio de Janeiro was hailed as the Carnival Capital of the World.

Make Your Travel Fantasy Happen with Ipanema
This year, as Brazil starts to prepare for Rio Carnival 2012, the fashionable Brazilian flip-flop brand Ipanema brings in the ‘Spoil Your Sole In Rio Carnival Raffle’ promo—the grand search for the lucky Filipino travel buff who will fly to Brazil with a friend to indulge in a week-long trip-of-a-lifetime and to join the huge celebration of Rio de Janeiro Carnival.

“The ‘Spoil Your Sole In Rio Carnival Raffle’ promo is the Ipanema way of giving back to slipper-lovers the support that they have given to the brand. And because Ipanema is all about spoiling your soles, we are giving them the travel experience they have long been dreaming of,” said Patxi Elizalde, Managing Director of Elro Corporation.

For seven days and six nights, the lucky winner and his chosen friend will be treated like VIPs as they enjoy a series of tours to the magnificent landscapes of Sugar Loaf Mountain, Corocovado, and Petropolis. Carnival tickets will be provided for them to witness and participate in the celebration for two days. During the parade days, a roundtrip limousine service with an English-speaking tour guide will assist them. Lastly, a total of USD1,000.00 (USD500.00 per person) will be given as their pocket money.

Who Can Join? And How?
If you are a Filipino citizen or a flip-flops lover who has resided in the Philippines for at least a year now, Ipanema invites you to join the ‘Spoil Your Sole in Rio Carnival Raffle’ promo.

Just grab your favorite pair of Ipanema slippers from any participating store nationwide to get a printed promo code to be given upon purchase of every pair. Like the Ipanema Philippines Facebook Fan Page <www.facebook.com/IpanemaPhilippines> to see the Spoil Your Sole in Rio Application. Click ‘Submit Entries’ and complete the information needed for your raffle entry.

Get more raffle entries by buying more Ipanema pairs for more chances of winning the Rio Carnival experience. Besides, Ipanema features a wide selection of stylish yet comfortable pairs to choose from.

So grab this travel experience you’ve always wanted in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The raffle winner will be drawn on date January 3, 2012, 4pm. So be sure to get your comfortable pairs of Ipanema slippers before the promo ends on December 31, 2011.

What I wear for my birthday!

Red Ralph Lauren, because it's my birthday!

Argh! I want an international looking office

I am working for an foreign company here in PH. This is my layout---
* wanted a uniform boring office furnitures, I want to add in color! Mygad how will my creative juice flow if I am surrounded by greys and cream. Argh. These are my pegs:

This is one of the furniture I was aiming to get.
And a wooden bench for the waiting area---

Wooden side tables for the lounge.
This is not only for my eyes, but also for the sake of the office, so that when clients visit they won't think that it's a fly by night company and it is stable and able.

A nice ambiance promotes good vibes and luxury, para naman kasi pipichugin company pag boring.

Happy Thursday

Actually, it's happy Wednesday, after receiving my verbal offer from Pacific Internet--- really, I am rejoicing my heart out, as blanket of shitty days enveloped me the past months of depressing no-activity-no-money situation. Well there is but it's not a significant amount to be called money, but money nonetheless.

There's always rainbow after the rain, saw this September 23, then after received several calls:
After I received first payment for NP internet and designs.
After Wednesday, I already decided to award myself with a new phone as my BlackBerry Pearl 9105's sounds died on me--- I decided to get the newest Bold, instead of settling for 9780. But getting just 9780 was the plan before the price went up again.
Shot of my BlackBerry Bold 9900 by my mom's also new iPhone 4.
Then attended my tito Jobby and tita Azon's 25 wedding renewal of vows ceremony as the commentator for the church rite and as a hungry ass for the reception. Saw a really cute old people too--- celebrating 1000 years of marriage---NO--- but still cute. :P
People should take them as example, still sweet at their age.
Made my ass bigger--- can't fit a size 31 now. Argh.
And because of my new job, I need/want new clothes (one of the things that makes me excited going to work is dressing up) and so we went to Greenhills, look for polo and pants.
Got some stuff from Ralph (because I wanted a Hamptons/Ivy look), Longsleeves polo
Black socks for a 100 bucks, and CapDase for my BlackBerry.

Now, excited as ever, I will be blogging frequently--- more about work! Wohoo.

25 Shitty Years

October is coming and so is my birthday, but I think I should not be celebrating another year to pass, instead  I wish to die.
In my 25 years of existence, I feel I didn't do anything to make my parents proud. They'd even think I am just good for a dish washer (just like my grandfather, that's really not my grandfather; shit should I know that?! LOL).
I am doing this and that to change my 2 year situation of being jobless, but no, they won't/don't acknowledge it as long as I'm still snatching food from their mouths.
This is a shitty life. I am 25 and am still nothing. I think 25 years is enough.

Gems of Jaipur

I died after seeing Daphne and Ingrid's blog of their India trip--- particularly when I read about the Gem Palace.

Ring

Ring (see more antique victorian rings)

I didn't know that it was that colorful--- India is a livable art piece--- I just imagined it sandy, dirty, with sides that have big nice palace/Mosque/Buildings, ie., Taj Mahal. There's more to India. Just scared of some Indian stereo.
Here's a video of the Gem Palace during the 6th generation of owner, now it is on it's 7th generation.

Here's the not so good parts in India, as we, here in PH also have, I think it's all like this in PH. LOL

Uniforms by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge

I thought the Duchess is wearing an Irish military uniform too
but read from BagHag that it's an Alexander McQueen coat dress.
Love the details of the Duke's military uniform,
while the Duchess' Alexander McQueen matched the event.

Movie: The Help

I had watched over hundreds of movies already and I think I should write down what are the good ones, but I might all bore you (if anyone is still reading my blog, that is). So let me just start with the recent movie that I have watched: The Help~
The story is amazing, an eye opener of what really was/ is the situation of being a colored person, a black in US ---a good example of how you stood up for what is right from the characters of Skeeter, Aibileen and Minny.

I think a good movie for parents to show to their kids--- show how to threat the help and how the help can really help in different ways (well we're speaking of a good help).

We can really learn from the era (60s to 70s) gossips, controlling, meddling, manipulation, scheming.

I hope the situation of the black in US has changed already.

Twitter: Responsible Followship

Due to the recent event that my dad had been into, regarding his comment to Kim Atienza and meddling of Chito Miranda, plus bashing of few avid followers of Atienza, I started to think that being followed by a (significant) number of tweeps is a big responsibility, and if the people being followed (celebrities) haven't seen that, then it is just sad.

Although you are not liable for what they say, at least be vigilant to notice if your followers are acting right--- in the case of Atienza, he was a public servant--- former congressman (kaya siguro di na nanalo ulit), role model of the youth (they think he's smart, when what he does is just deliver the facts from Google), and a public figure--- if the person is in his right mind, he would have stepped up and tell his followers that what they are doing is not right and would have suggested that--- opinions are opinions, we can't please everybody, and if (my dad or) any person would say their opinion about him, just let them be (since pinagmamalaki naman nila ang 450k+ followers ni Atienza, ano na lang ang tatay ko).

It started with this:

Comment from my dad (he tweeted first):
@greatidol: di ako bilib sau kc di lahat ng nagtatanong nagre-reply ka.
Namimili ka lang sama nun dba? palagay mo?
ENG: @greatidol: I don't commend you because
you don't reply to everybody who ask you, you just choose.
Isn't it bad? Don't you think so?

Then Atienza replied: kawawa naman ikaw.
ENG: pity you.
Thn Chito Miranda butted in~
Then Chito Miranda called my dad "TANGA"--- STUPID.

Who does have any right to call anybody stupid? He (Chito Miranda) does even know my dad personally, and we don't know him either, but now we know him better--- ill-mannered stereotypical Atenean.

Great power comes with great responsibility.

Harry Potter Boy into a Man

Look at them so young.
Who would have thought that Neville Longbottom
(on the right, Matthew Lewis) would grow handsome like that.

Hermione Granger (Emma Watson) working that short hair.
Not like her red carpet gown though.

Sex Sells Newspaper or NOT?!

Obviously you know why newspapers have to do ads like this
(What are they thinking placing a man half naked that is not even model fit?!
I guess the peg is business-y type body frame).
For obvious reasons of declining subscriptions of news written on paper,
we will be seeing more of this ads.
I hope no more of naked people.

Blackberry Bold 9900

There's something in the design that I don't like--- a feel like of the Bold 9000. After Bold 9700/9780 was launched, I felt that the Bold 9000, is really ugly, you have a better design with the Curves.
Not bad, but became bad ass ugly when these arrived:
I can't say if Bold 9900's design really is not okay, but I think these
old 9700/9780's design are really more classic than of the new Bold.

I found a Merman!

TV Series: Another Channel to Advertise Cellphones

After Gossip Girls' hit whose a mysterious texter/ gossiper/ insider thru web and mobile---and then sucking their way to Season 5 (well, mostly because of the unending sex between  6 of them) came a new TV Series that, again, revolves around phones--- Pretty Little Liars, where it is believed that Alison 'A' is haunting them thru text.
Blair using LG. Photo: chron.com
Jenny on Motorola Droid Verizon. Photo: chrisstenberg.com
Hannah using Palm Pre Mirror. Photo: Engadget
And then there's the shower of cellphones, Motorola K (something, I think it's K2?!
old old phone, I had that one back in college) and then Palm Pre, Droid or Evo, and something else.
I think this TV Series had the most number of mobile phone placement, but weird that Blackberry was not part of placement, I notice the Blackberry Pearl 9100 in pink by Melissa but the logos are covered. I wonder.
Now, I remember why the called soap operas--- soap operas, soaps sponsors the operas. LOL
Update: And then there's Teen Wolf joining in with
Stiles holding a Sony Ericsson Xperia.
And again, AT&T Blackberry Torch used by the one
and only Teen Wolf Tyler Posey/ Scott MacCall
